Meet Our Support Team

  1. Heather Carr
    Heather Carr
    Veterinary Assistant
    Heather has been in the veterinary field since 1997. She moved to Washington state in 2001 from California. Heather spends her time with her husband, daughter, two dogs, Jake and Bully, and 4 chickens . She has been riding horses since she was 5 years old and has had dogs her whole life. Together with her family, she enjoys fishing, crabbing and rock hunting. Heather loves doing dental cleanings and helping in surgery. She loves cuddling our patients and getting big slobbery kisses.

    Licensed Veterinary Technician
    Alice was born and raised in Washington state, raised on a farm with small and large animals. She entered veterinary medicine a little over 5 years ago and recently graduated from PIMA medical institute September of 2017 for Veterinary Technician.She has a 9 year old dog named Lola and a 4 year old daughter. She loves to hike, the beach and anything outdoors. She enjoys being in surgery and my long term goal is to specialize in anesthesia. A dream of Alice’s is to do a volunteer work in foreign countries with spay/neuter projects.

    Sarah has worked in the veterinary field for many years but has just started with the Whistle Vet team.Outside of work, she greatly enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her Border Collie mix, “Gunner.” Sarah looks forward to providing the best care to our clients and their pets.

    Veterinary Assistant
    Sam was born and raised in Anacortes and began in the veterinary field in 2010. After taking a few years away from the field to pursue schooling, she came back to Veterinary Assisting in 2016 and is currently in school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She enjoys spending time with her Australian Shepherd, Nellie, and two cats, Meatloaf and Bean, as well as hiking and paddle boarding in Anacortes. Her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include behavior and preventative medicine.
